GET IN YOUR BAG

Comfort is one of those things that can falsely bring a feeling as if you're living the life you want or you're where you want to be. When you start to address the things that bother you; career, family, friends, life experiences or health, it can feel difficult. When you start uncovering the reasons why you may be where you are, it can be uncomfortable.  That discomfort can be in your own skin. Or when you're at work and you feel like you don't fit in.  Even being around family or friends.  When you feel that discomfort, that's when you really need to dig deep and get in your bag.

What does it mean to get in your bag?  I call it the space where you feel most alive.  Where you get a deep intrinsic spark by engaging in the tasks you enjoy or overcome what once felt impossible. Deep in that bag you might find difficult things you have to deal with in order to start getting to the space where you are happy with yourself and the direction that your life is going.

This isn't going to happen overnight and it's not something that's easy, but when you get into that uncomfortable space; you realize that you're trading that uncomfortable feeling for a sense of fulfillment.  That fulfillment will bring happiness when you start doing things that you want to do and you deal with the shame of being in a certain space that you're not actually happy with.

Sitting in a space not dealing with the things that you know make you uncomfortable or unhappy only keeps you in that stagnant loathsome stage of what you've determined as normal.  Take one step in the direction of getting in your bag for yourself, that's when the growth happens, that's when you start getting to a place of being able to address some of the things that fuel behaviors that you actually don't want to engage in.  You control the first step that it takes to start a chain of new behaviors to achieve better health, healthy relationships, and a career you're happy with.

So get in that bag, enjoy it and don't leave it once you get in it.  Toss out all the things that no longer serve you and fill it with the things that bring you to life.

LOCK IN.
